Dura Coat Supergloss Enamel

Duracoat Supergloss Enamel is a premium-quality protective paint that delivers a rich, deep gloss finish on properly prepared surfaces. Formulated with high-quality oil-modified alkyd resin, reinforced with polyurethane, and high-grade lightfast pigments, it ensures excellent durability, superior adhesion, and long-lasting colour retention. This enamel is ideal for a variety of surfaces, including wood, metal, and plaster, providing a protective coating that withstands repeated washing, household stains, and harsh weather conditions. For optimal results, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose material. Smooth uniform surfaces can be achieved using Duracoat Smotex Lite or Internal/External Skim Coat before application.

New wood surfaces should first be primed with Duracoat Pink or White Wood Primer or Aluminium Wood Primer, followed by one coat of Duracoat Universal Undercoat, then two coats of Duracoat Supergloss Enamel, allowing 16 hours drying between coats. Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned, rubbed down to remove loose, flaking, or powdery material, sanded to provide keying, and then coated with two layers of Supergloss Enamel with 16 hours drying time between coats. The enamel is ready to use but can be thinned with Duracoat White Spirit at a ratio of 1 litre White Spirit to 4 litres of Supergloss Enamel if required for spray application.

It spreads at approximately 12–15 m² per litre on smooth, non-porous surfaces, dries to the touch within 2–4 hours, and allows recoating after 16 hours. Surfaces should be stirred thoroughly before and during application, and proper ventilation is recommended during use. Dark or highly pigmented colours may require additional coats for complete coverage. Post-application care involves avoiding washing or heavy contact until the paint is fully cured and using mild detergents when cleaning to maintain the glossy finish.
